I am an Associate Professor at the Design and Analysis of Communication Systems (DACS) group at the University of Twente.
My research interests lays in the field of Internet Security and Internet measurements. On Octber 14, 2010, I defended my thesis “Flow-based Intrusion Detection”, at the University of Twente.

I am regularly active in the network measurement and network management communities. In 2019, I have been General Co-Chair of the ACM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC 2019), and in 2020 I was TPC Co-Chair of the Passive and Active Measurement Conference (PAM 2020) (which was held as a virtual conference due to the Covid-19 outbreak).
